To identify users quickly and securely, KeyPad Plus is equipped with DESFire® technology. It is the industry-leading solution for contactless communication that allows user identification via a card or key fob. DESFire® complies with the international standard ISO 14443 and combines full 128-bit encryption with copy protection. This technology is also used in European capital transport systems and in NASA's access systems.

The new KeyPad Plus firmware allows you to get the most from pre-installed batteries. Even with daily use of the contactless identification functions, the keypad works for 3.5 years without the need to change the batteries. Furthermore, by disabling the card reader and key fob, the battery lasts up to 4.5 years. KeyPad Plus notifies the monitoring station and users when the battery needs to be changed.

Configure personal access codes to know who and when disarmed the system: the username appears in the notification and in the event log. It is also possible to assign Pass or Tag to a specific user and define the permissions of the same to control the safety of specific groups or the entire plant. Ajax app allows you to manage access permissions in real time. You can instantly restrict, extend or block access.

Ajax systems support up to 200 Tags or Pass2. To add them, it is not necessary to create Ajax accounts for new users, just assign a name to the device and define its access permissions. This makes it easier to delegate access to system control to temporary employees or new staff members.
